USU Blanding announces New Covid Business Consultant is on Board

USU Blanding, Small Business Development Center, is excited to announce an addition to their team.  Talia Hansen has joined Meghan McFall’s office in Blanding as a COVID Business Consultant.

Businesses in San Juan County will now be able to get support on available Coronavirus relief options and advice how to navigate the requirements for them. Talia is working in the Grand and San Juan County area. She will be available remotely as a resource to the SBDC office. She will be available through the school to help area businesses with questions about CARES act resources they may qualify for.

Talia brings a unique background and experience to these areas. Originally part of the team that opened The Leonardo and The Museum of Natural History. Her training as an exhibit designer, instructor, and public programs developer provides a wealth of knowledge.

She has received training through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Production in the Innovation Economy program at the Exploratorium in San Francisco and Stanford Design Thinking.   Stanfords courses and programs explore the power of design thinking to transform an organization. Talia’s insights are invaluable when trying to develop creativity and incorporate innovation into your everyday business practices.

Talia, like most SBDC consultants, is a business owner.  Her association with USU SBDC allows her to focus on finance and business consulting. She has been on the front lines with companies since early March, helping small businesses through the COVID relief programs as well as advising on how to  pivot to create new marketing strategies.

McFall, says that she is happy to have Talia on board with the USU Small Business Development Center and is sure that San Juan County will benefit from here experience.  To find out what she may be able to do for your business contact her through the USU Small Business Development Center at (435) 678-8102 or email her at [email protected]
