QuickBooks classes kick off tomorrow through USU’s SPARC in Blanding. Last chance to register today.

USU’s Blanding Innovation Center director Meghan Mcfall is inviting owners and  employees of startups or existing small businesses who manage their own bookkeeping to the latest in her Finance and Funding Series. Tomorrow nights topic is Intuit's QuickBooks, a business accounting software that has been a big part of commerce for nearly 20 years. This updated version has some new tricks that could make your accounting more accurate and help with management of inventory and sales.

If you’ve never opened QuickBooks before this is the class that will get you started. Instructor Kerry Deeter, is a QuickBooks certified instructor. The hour and a half training session is scheduled for tomorrow evening, May 26th from 6pm to 7:30pm.

QuickBooks is an accounting software package developed and marketed by Intuit. The program is geared toward small and medium-sized businesses. It is used on site and in cloud based versions. QuickBooks can be tailored to accept business payments, handle payroll functions, bill pay and other accounting tasks. One of the more elaborate versions promises to replace your cash register and incorporate sales and inventory management into one platform.

The cost for the course through SPARC is $50 but the fee may be covered. Two programs, the statewide training program Custom Fit and STIT (Short Term Intensive Training) funds for eligible recipients will cover half the cost of the course. San Juan County has provided funding for the other half of the course.

Registration ends today. If you are interested contact Meghan McFall at (435) 678-8102 or register at the following link: QuickBooks Small Business Basics Class
